Hello Dear Friend,
How are you? Well, I hope and enjoying life and all that that entails. We have had a few ups and downs these past few weeks. I had a blood clot in my leg, which thankfully seems to have dissipated, and our beloved Errol was mugged by another cat and did not come off the winner. He has had several trips to the vet, antibiotics, gabapentin, and other pain relief, and he did not eat for two days, which is never good for cats. Thankfully, he has turned the corner and is recovering nicely, although I think it will be a while before he ventures beyond the confines of the garden. He is about 15 now so bless him, it was a bit of a shock to his system, not a good age for your first ‘fight’.
But now, it is the time of the month for the group tarot reading, I will, as usual, be using the *Llewellyn Tarot Deck.
Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…
This month’s spread
I have used the usual three-card spread, Embrace/Accept/Release or Let Go. It seems to work for most of you, as ever take what you feel is aimed at you. Disregard anything that doesn’t fit, and above all, if the card speaks to you in a different way, then go with that.
The Cards
Card 1 - Embrace - 4 The Emperor
The Emperor, sitting there on his throne is the image of a patriarchal figure, but remember he does not have to be a he - it could be a woman. Someone who not only represents stability, reason, compassion and wisdom but also someone who also keeps a flexible mind, and is open to the ideas of others.
According to Wild Tarot the questions you need to ask yourself when this card pops up in a spread are as follows:
What or who does this card bring up for you? How do you feel about it? Where do you find safety and protection? How do you show leadership to others? What is your relationship with authority?
*Wild Tarot: Let the Tarot Tell Your Story, by Jen Cownie and Fiona Lensvelt, p246-248.
Think about what aspect of authority you need now - do you need to turn to someone in authority and allow them to soothe and reassure you? Or do you need to step into your own authority and lead from a position of compassion and wisdom? Only you know the answer to this one, and whichever you choose The Emperor is asking you to Embrace this aspect or need.
Card 2 - Accept - 15 The Horned One
The Horned One, or the Devil in other decks, comes at about the midpoint in the Fool’s journey. This card can feel unsettling with its strange hermit-like figure huddled on a rock, with a small fire lit and a wolf curled up nearby. He looks so much like a part of the forest in which he sits, is he really there?
This card is about nature, the call of the wild, and listening to our primal instincts - nesting, nurturing, and protecting. It asks us to listen to those instincts and allow ourselves to be influenced by the cycle and rhythm of nature and to restore a natural balance. This card can also represent being stuck - old attachments, and old patterns, which can sometimes feel inescapable. This card wants you to investigate those patterns, then by leaning into your instincts, accept them or if necessary, change them.
Card 3 - Let Go or Release - 2 The Priestess
This is another image which makes you look twice - is she there? Swathed in moss and ivy, with cobwebs adorning her head, she is part of the landscape she sits in. Similar to the previous card, this is another card asking you to lean into your instincts - this time your intuition, your gut feelings if you will.
Wild Card suggests you should ask the following when this card appears in a spread -
Do you know how to listen to your intuition? When do you let yourself be led by your gut? Are you ever too attached to being rational and logical? Can you allow things to be unexplainable, but true?
*Wild Card - Let the Taort Tell Your Story, by Jen Cownie and Fiona Lensvelt
With it appearing in the position of ‘Let Go’ I feel as if it wants us to let go of the rational mind, of the structure of everyday life and embrace your intuition. As I always say, you need to pay attention to your intuition, and the more you pay attention, the stronger your connection will be.
Summary
This month’s cards are a little different, I wonder if you noticed that they are all Major Arcana cards. (The Major Arcana are the cards which represent the Fool’s journey.) So to sum up this month’s cards -
Embrace your feelings around authority, do you need guidance or are you in a position to give it?
Accept the wild side of your nature, and your primal instincts, and allow yourself to be guided by them a little more.
Let Go of the constraints of everyday life and start listening to your intuition more.
As ever, this is my interpretation of the cards, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you differently, then go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from Spirit and the angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.
I will be back on Sunday with my usual letter to you dear friend, until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,

Aw poor Errol... I am so happy he is out of the woods now and please god he will find his bravery to not feel too scared.
