Hello Dear Friend,
As I sat down to write this this morning I was watching the local metal detectorists out in the farmer’s field, scouring for treasure. We have lots of active groups on the island, and they regularly display their finds at local shows. I always wonder what they are going to be uncovering as the history here is long and wide-ranging. A Roman mosaic perhaps, Bronze Age Spear tips, musket balls from the Civil War or a treasured brooch or ring, dropped, and thought lost forever, never realising that someone hundreds of years later would dig it up and treasure it again. I find it fascinating.
But I digress, back to today’s Sunday Letter to you my dear friend. First, I would like to say a huge thank you to those of you who took out a paid subscription, it means a lot to me, thank you. Also, thank you to all who filled out the poll or contacted me about these letters, your words really helped, thank you.
Today I would like to return to a topic which I first mentioned in a past Sunday Letter which talked about how the way we talk to ourselves can affect us, even down to our DNA. This week I want to ponder over the wider effect our words can have.
Thoughtforms
How we speak to ourselves can affect not just ourselves, but t///o the places where we are…
As I mentioned earlier, I have spoken in the past about how what we say to ourselves is important, even down to our DNA - but it can also affect the ground we stand on and the places we live.
I was listening to the True Hauntings podcast recently, and Anne and Renata were musing about how human energy can induce hauntings. This has also been discussed on Kindred Spirits, the tv show, especially in Season 5, Episode 2 (well on Discovery +, I think it is Episode 6 on Amazon Prime…). The episode is titled Zombie Boy and deals with a haunting which seems to be spiralling out of control, focusing on an entity they have nicknamed ‘Zombie Boy’ due to a photograph which seemed to show a child with a disfigured face.
Amy Bruni, Chip Coffey, and Adam Berry investigate in their usual way, with respect, curiosity and care, and discover that the energy thoughtform manifesting as ‘Zombie Boy’ has been created by the expectations of ghost hunters/investigators. The darker they think the entity is, the more it reciprocates, becoming everything they believe it to be and more, even being able to seemingly take over one investigator.
Once Amy and Adam realise they are dealing with a thoughtform, they create a different back story for the entity, one with a loving family, a father who died tragically, even giving them all names and a happy ending all being buried in the same plot. They even factor in the disfigured face by saying that the boy had an accident with a horse which caused the injuries and ultimately his death. It really is a fascinating episode to watch. Going forward, so long as the investigators ///coming in stick to the new back story the ‘Zombie Boy’ will manifest as a loving soul who loves to connect via a K2 meter.
Mind, Blown.
But it got me thinking about the implications of this.
We know that negative self-talk can lead to depression, lower mood and illness.
But how would that manifest in our homes? Our jobs? With other people? What is that old saying - Where the focus goes, energy flows…
This is not to say that all paranormal things are brought about as thought forms, they are not, but please be aware of how you interact with your world.
Everywhere you go, Take the Weather
Take The Weather With You - Crowded House - This is a fabulous song and reflects this week’s topic, how we interact with the world and how we think about things affects not only us but everyone and everything we come into contact with.
Lyrics
Walking 'round the room singing Stormy Weather
At Fifty Seven Mount Pleasant Street
Well, it's the same room, but everything's different
You can fight the sleep, but not the dream
Things ain't cookin' in my kitchen
Strange affliction wash over me
Julius Caesar and the Roman Empire
Couldn't conquer the blue sky
Well, there's a small boat made of china
It's going nowhere on the mantelpiece
Well, do I lie like a lounge-room lizard
Or do I sing like a bird released?
Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you
Everywhere you go, you always take the weather
Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you
Everywhere you go, always take the weather, the weather with you
Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you
Everywhere you go, you always take the weather
Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you
Everywhere you go, you always take the weather
You take the weather, the weather with you
(Everywhere you go)
Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you
Everywhere you go, you always take the weather
Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you
Everywhere you go, you always take the weather
Take the weather, the weather with you
Things catching my eye this week:
This article in Forbes online entitled: New Psychological Research Says Paranormal Experiences Are The Norm, Not The Exception is intriguing stuff, and I will be investigating further.
This episode from The Paranormal 60 with Dave Schrader really spoke to me this past week.
I love listening to this show, usually, it is just a bunch of guys gathered around sharing paranormal stories and getting slightly tipsy, a little light relief. But the episode from 4th July was different, very deep and thought-provoking, I urge you to listen to the full show.
From Sunday Musings from The Cottage - Diana Butler Bass
I leave you with a prayer which I read in The Cottage:
The world now is too dangerous
and too beautiful for anything but love.
May your eyes be so blessed you see God in everyone.
Your ears, so you hear the cry of the poor.
May your hands be so blessed
that everything you touch is a sacrament.
Your lips, so you speak nothing but the truth with love.
May your feet be so blessed you run
to those who need you.
And may your heart be so opened,
so set on fire, that your love,
your love, changes everything.
— A Blessing, Black Rock Prayer Book
Keep shining your light and your love, it really does make a difference.
Until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,
Tracy
