what does it mean to you?

Hello Dear Friend,

Welcome to another Sunday, and it is definitely autumnal out there now, the leaves are turning and the conkers are falling. I do love their glossiness, that shiny brown nut takes me right back to my childhood. Playing conkers in the playground, and dad trying to come up with ways to treat the conker to make it indestructible and therefore unbeatable. He never did find a way, although we had lots of fun trying. I’m not sure you can still play conkers at school anymore, it probably goes against all health and safety rules and regulations, it’s all very sad.

This week I thought I would talk to you about being spiritually aware, perfect timing as there is a free resource coming next week which could help you with this. More on that later in the letter.

Awakening - What is it?

For me, awakening has been a long slow process. As I have shared in these letters before, I have always known there was something other than the world we can usually see, that there were forces or powers about which the world was unaware.

In the past, I have been a regular member of various Spiritualist Churches, with regular messages coming through for me. I have felt things, seen things, and had experiences which have just reinforced the feeling that there was more to this world of ours. If you look on the internet for information about spiritual awareness or awakening you will quickly be bamboozled, well I was, by references to the 3D world, 4D, 5D… It seems there are infinite layers of existence, just waiting for us to ‘progress’ to that level.

My own awakening was brought to the fore by a visitation by an angel*. There was no great fanfare, no visionary message, and nothing really changed.

Except me.

I changed.

It was as if I had confirmation, we really weren’t alone, we were not in this, whatever this life is, we were not having to negotiate life without help. That confirmation led to my painting lots of angels, until one day one decided to tell me a story.

I listened to that story.

Then I began to write it down.

That story is almost ready to be read by other people, and whilst writing it, I started these letters. So in effect, that celestial visitor led me to be here, now, writing this to you my dear friend. I hope my words help you to navigate this world, I am here for you, I believe in you and we can do this. We can make the world a better brighter place, one act at a time. With the help of our angels and guides and each other.

Things catching my eye this week:

I haven’t really been very well this week, so have mostly kept my head down, my studies are just starting so they will take up a lot of my energy going forwards.

A couple of weeks ago I took a video of my bus journey to my favourite place on the island - The Freshwater Coffee House if ever you are on the Isle of Wight, please visit them, they serve the best coffee and their food is scrumptious.

I did take part in a fabulous Cook-a-long which was hosted by Jenny Hammerton, who is also known as Silver Screen Suppers. It was to celebrate the launch of her latest cookbook - Murder She Cooked, and there is another cook-a-long tonight if you wanted to attend all the details can be found here it starts at 7pm BST.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month in the UK

So on a more serious note, another friend is launching a podcast tomorrow, and it addresses domestic violence, told from the perspective of a robot.
