Hello Dear Friend,
How are you? Apologies for dropping into your inbox twice in one day. It’s time for the monthly community Tarot reading.
This month I have gone for a slightly different spread, I found a 2023 yearly spread on Daily Tarot Girl, and as I always believe in listening to nudges, here goes. Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…
Looking forwards to 2023
The Cards
Card 1 - What will I create? - Six of Pentacles
This card depicts a trade, being paid fairly for goods or services. In relation to the question of What will I Create, it could be that you will create resources, perhaps a course or an information pack which will help others with an issue or a problem. This, in turn, may allow you to gain some financial reward. The other side of this card is becoming aware of the choices we make, what we buy, and who and what we support. All of these small decisions can make a difference to your life, or your community, either locally or wider afield. This will enable you to become aware of when it is a good time to pay forward any help you may have received in the past.
Card 2 - What will I learn? - Five of Wands
This card shows a group of men seemingly at odds with one another and striking each other, although not very violently, with wooden wands. They seem to be having a heated argument about the best way to implement the plans which lay discarded on the floor. Everybody wants to be heard, but no one is listening.
This indicates to me that you will learn to listen to the opinions of others, not dismissing out of hand their ideas and approaches. Allow yourself to be challenged - it can be strengthening and allow you to grow.
Card 3 - What will I explore? - Knight of Wands
This proud young knight is prepared, setting off on a new challenge, a new adventure. This card speaks to exploration, new beginnings, being fearless, and taking risks. Taking time to recognize patterns and opportunities, although be aware that this card can be full on. Make sure you are strapped in tight and try to enjoy the ride.
Card 4 - What wants to change? - Seven of Wands
This card depicts a young man making a stand, fighting against the odds to defend a position. So in relation to the question of changes, it could be said that you need to know your boundaries and the things you would metaphorically speaking at least, fight to the death to defend. Think about how or if, you are being asked to back down on something, should you? Or should you make a stand persevering to the last?
Card 5 - What will help me most? - Queen of Pentacles
This card depicts a woman, rooted in the landscape, surrounded by the fruitful world, cradling a gold coin as if it were the most precious child. It reminds us of the power of the physical world upon the body and the mind. Think of aromatic oils in a burner, a beautiful candle, or a special tea that you may indulge in. The Queen is a reminder that nice things are allowed, but be mindful of when these luxuries are filling the gaps both spiritual and psychological, instead of just being indulgencies. With reference to the question posed I would say that allowing yourself to enjoy nice things will help you stay grounded and connected as you travel through 2023.
Card 6 - What could get in my way? - Queen of Swords
This second Queen is an entirely different character from the last card. She is a no-nonsense woman, ready for battle, honest to a fault.
Could this be an issue for you? Are you honest and direct with others? If not, what would, or could, happen if you stopped pretending and were forthright with people?
Card 7 - What needs my support? - Five of Swords
This seems a bleak card, a young woman is on what looks like a battlefield, gathering up swords, all alone in these darkest hours. Be prepared to support yourself if you are dealing with conflicts or arguments, all the while keeping hold of your humanity when things are dark. It could be that someone you know is in this situation and needs your support, be aware, and try not to lose your sense of empathy.
Card 8 - What can I release? - Eight of Swords
The Eight of Swords is on the face of it another dark, despairing card, a young woman is bound and blindfolded, caged by swords with the sea crashing in around her.
But remember this is about what you can release…
You have the power to change things, you have the power to flee imprisonment and fly free from the trap. So if you feel as if you are struggling with a situation that leaves you feeling powerless, this card encourages you to reassess where you are. Is there a way out? Can you see the gap in the swords through which you can be released? It is there.
Summary
This is a wide-reaching reading full of hope and optimism, opportunities whilst keeping yourself grounded and in touch with the realities and needs of life. I hope it speaks to you, and that you can take something from it.
As ever these are just my ramblings and are not set in stone, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you in a different way, go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from Spirit and the angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.
I will be back next Sunday with my usual letter to you dear friend, so, until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,
Tracy
