Strengthening the Connections

Hello Dear Friend,

Well, here we are again, another Sunday has arrived. This one brings with it blue skies, sunshine, and a full moon. Did you see the moon last night? A friend said it was so bright it woke her up. I missed it, so will take a gander tonight before bed. Today it finally feels as though Spring is around the corner. A very long corner, but there is a glimpse of life returning and it does my soul good. It is going to be chilly with the lack of clouds, but it is much nicer than rain and gloom.
This week I want to guide you in strengthening your connections to your spirit guides, angels, or spirit. It will be a short missive this week, and I am asking you to do some homework if you are up for it.

Adventures With Spirit

This is a podcast from Andrea Neville and Jessica Paschke. I cannot remember where I came across them, but I really like their no-nonsense approach to connecting with Spirit and living an awakened life.

One episode in particular I feel will be good for you to listen to is Getting To Know Your Spirit Guides Episode 9, Season 1 (10 November 2021)

This episode covers:
-What spirit guides are.
-Who makes up your spirit team.
-How to initiate connection with your spirit guides.
-Finding out your spirit guide's name.
-Strengthening your relationship with your spirit guides.
-A fun calling in exercise!

At the end of the episode is a very short meditation/visualization to help you call in your Spirit Guides. I listened to it earlier today and found it very useful. I now know for sure that when my spirit guide is close by.
I feel a tingling on the right side of my back, and when they step away, it feels like a cool breeze there. I have always wondered who this was with me when I feel the tingling, and now I know.

If you try this, let me know how you get on, I would love to know what sensations you feel if any.

Also, don’t forget, that if you do not feel anything the first time, or the first few times you try, do not give up. Keep trying, I truly believe that the connection is there, waiting for you to strengthen it.

Things catching my eye this week:

The topic of Aphantasia came up a lot this past week. It is a term I had never come across before, so don’t be surprised if you hadn’t either.
So what is it? It is the inability to visualize things in your mind’s eye. A friend looked it up as she was having trouble visualizing things, and came across this article. I do have a hard time visualizing things during meditations, I cannot see them, I mostly feel them. It is just the way my brain works.
This subject was also raised on the BBC Radio 4 program The Curious Cases of Rutherford and Fry if you would like to read more about the condition.
