Hello Dear friend,
I was not quite sure what to write this week. A number of topics have raised their hands, but the clear winner was self care, self love and kindness towards yourself and others.
This past week my inbox has been full of messages of love, acceptance, and self-care. Maybe because of Valentine’s Day, probably, below are some that resonated.
The first was a short meditation on Loving Kindness by Lauren Lee, who writes Calm Point. There is a wonderful image to go with the meditation based on a Buddhist teaching, which you can see on her post. But the whole Loving-Kindness process is summed up in the quote below.
What I love about this practice is it asks us to go within and connect with our own peace, happiness, and well-being so that we can begin to share that with others.

Accepting Compliments
Another was Joanne Bell, who writes Write to Thrive, her post this week was about how well, or not, we accept compliments and nice things being said about us. I have always struggled with this and, as Joanne says, I would bat them into outer space. There are some journaling prompts on her post to help explore this topic.
How comfortable are you with compliments? Do they warm your heart? Or, do you bat them away? Into outer space, perhaps?

Tarot for Self Care
For those of you who like Tarot cards, Yvonne Powers of Bohemian Lifestyle send out a lovely email with a Self-Love Tarot Spread, which is below.
I really enjoyed this spread, it left me feeling very positive.
Yvonne is running a workshop on Sunday 27th February, 2-4pm UK time - Asking Questions in Tarot. Click here to sign up, with more details below.
In this workshop, I will discuss the best ways to ask questions in tarot and I will give you more helpful ways to ask a question and I will teach you how to reframe questions in order to have a more empowering reading. You will then practice reading on each other using the techniques I have shared.
This workshop is geared towards those with at least a basic understanding of the tarot cards.

Were you aware Random Act of Kindness Day was the 17th February? Cue lots of companies sending out messages with money off codes…
I think every day should be RAK day. The world needs more kindness, I have written about this before which you can read here. Small acts, holding doors, smiling at others, those little things can all make a difference.
For those of you in the UK, I hope that Storm Eunice caused you no harm. We had the strongest winds ever recorded at the Needles, 125 mph gusts, and ‘normal’ wind speed which reached 90 mph. Thankfully, we did not suffer any damage, although friends lost power and fences. At one point a dustbin lid went sailing by, very surreal.
As I write this there are still rumblings the possible invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops. I hope it is just a bit of sabre rattling, but I have a feeling it will escalate. When you have a moment of calm, I would invite you to light a candle and send love, healing and prayers to the region, and everywhere else it is needed. I hope some positive thoughts may help.
Don’t forget that next week will be the monthly Tarot spread for March, I am looking forward to doing that. Also, if you made it this far, well done, its a bit of a longer one this time. Below there is some information about a workshop being run by Ruth Poundwhite, which promises to be great.
Until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,
Tracy
Things catching my eye this week:
Ruth Poundwhite is offering a free workshop next week:
Play with Possibility ~3 easy experiments to invite more magic & money into your business for 2022 (you don’t need a business to take part)
She says: this workshop is about possibility, magic & FUN. It's not traditional "goal setting" or new year "planning". It's about making space for the unexpected, in the very best way.
Access is from 9am GMT 21st February, for four days only.

Coming soon:
The new writing newsletter, Angels and Dragons, a writers Journey is ready for you to subscribe to. The first one will be sent Friday 25th February. If you are able to, there is a special offer set up for the first months paid subscribers. No obligation, the newsletters will always be free.
But over the next week I really, really need to focus on my next essay for the OU course. It is due on Thursday, however procrastination seems to be my super power at the moment.
