Hello Dear Friend,
Welcome to October,
It’s the time of year when the leaves turn orange and red, frosty mornings are just around the corner and pumpkin-spiced everything starts to appear in coffee shops… The year seems to be racing away. Now it is time for the group tarot reading, and I will, as usual, be using the *Llewellyn Tarot Deck.
Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…
This month’s spread
I have used the usual three-card spread, Embrace/Accept/Release or Let Go. It seems to work for most of you, as ever take what you feel is aimed at you. Disregard anything that doesn’t fit, and above all, if the card speaks to you in a different way, then go with that.
The Cards
Card 1 - Embrace - Eight of Wands
Well, this is a strange-looking card, with lots of sticks and some deer grazing in the background.
What meaning are we meant to take from that?
Wands as a suit represent energy.
Your energy.
Universal energy.
This card is telling you that you have the power within.
Embrace it.
Encourage it.
Ask yourself if there is something you are putting off.
Are you waiting for the perfect time/moment?
Why not act now?
The Wild Card book says when talking about the Eight of Wands -
They talk about a song Tight Pants/Body Rolls by Leslie Hall (be warned if you watch it, it is a very strange video) where a woman asks a creature to make her a pair of magical leggings. ‘Because, oh how her life would be changed by a pair of those tight pants!… But as the last stitch is finished she ‘experiences a dazzling revelation about herself: ‘I was already wearing tight pants. I just did not ACTIVATE them'.’p146, Wild Card
Activate your pants!
Card 2 - Accept - Queen of Wands
There sits the Queen, resplendent on her throne, in all the colours of harvest and autumn (very appropriate for this time of year) and clasping a wand and a sunflower. She looks serene, and calm, facing you the viewer with a steadfast gaze.
She is aware of her power, energy and charisma.
She is asking you to recognise that power within yourself.
Accept that you are passionate, creative and capable of inspiring not only yourself but others too.
Card 3 - Let Go or Release - Four of Wands
Fours in the suits can represent resting places, a space to rest and reflect on your Fool’s journey. The Four of Wands usually represents a party or a gathering, so it is a little strange turning up in the position of Letting Go.
What does it say to you? Following on from the previous two cards, I wonder if it asking you to put the party on hold for now. Asking you to go forward with your energy, and your creativity, embracing and accepting all that before throwing the party.
Maybe give it some time so you can achieve your dreams and goals before holding the party, and then really go for it.
Only you can know where you are on your journey.
Summary
So to sum up this month’s cards -
Firstly, I cannot remember the last time I drew all three cards from the same suit, spooky. Wands are the suit of action, ideas, growth, inspiration, passions, creativity, movement and action. Wands are ruled by the element of Fire, which can heal or hurt us, it is a changeable suit all about energy.
Embrace - 8 of Wands - Embrace your power and stop waiting for the ‘right’ time.
Accept - Queen of Wands - This card is asking you again to accept your power and charisma in order to inspire yourself and others.
Let Go - Four of Wands - Hold off on the party, follow your dreams and ambitions using the reawakened energy from within and bloom into your future.
As ever these are just my ramblings and are not set in stone, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you in a different way, go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from Spirit and the angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.
I will be back on Sunday with my usual letter to you dear friend, until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,
Guided By Angels will always be free to subscribers. If you enjoy it click the like button or share it with someone who might enjoy it. There is the option now to become a paid subscriber if you would like to support these Sunday Letters in that way, or you could consider buying me a cup of tea.
I definitely run on tea.
Thank you for reading and for subscribing.
Until next time, bye for now.
