Hello Dear Friend,
How are you doing today, I hope all is well with you and yours. I know a few of you are struggling with family and pet health issues at the moment, and I just want you to know that you are in my heart and thoughts.
October seems to have lept out at me and shouted Boo! before I was ready.
I honestly had it in my head that the 1st of October was today. I know, I know, I managed to mentally add 4 days to the end of September, I’m not sure how I did that.
But now, it is the time of the month for the group tarot reading, I will, as usual, be using the *Llewellyn Tarot Deck.
Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…
This month’s spread
I have used the usual three-card spread, Embrace/Accept/Release or Let Go. It seems to work for most of you, as ever take what you feel is aimed at you. Disregard anything that doesn’t fit, and above all, if the card speaks to you in a different way, then go with that.
The Cards
Card 1 - Embrace - 14. Temperance
As I look at this card I am drawn to how sad the woman looks, pouring water into a well, which is already underwater. But there is a calmness and peace in this image, she has her dog companion, the sea is calm, and there are shafts of light pouring down onto her.
This card is asking you to embrace a balanced, patient approach to a situation you are facing. It speaks of finding inner peace during a period of waiting whilst using your time constructively. It also asks you to remember that
‘there is a fine balance between being adaptable and open to growth, and being so malleable that you end up sacrificing yourself on the altar of others’ opinions.’
Wild Card Tarot Book
Jumper Card - Two of Cups
I have put this here as it jumped out while I was shuffling for the Embrace card - honestly, you couldn’t make it up, could you? If ever a card spoke of embracing…
This card can be seen as a card of romantic relationships, but it can also represent a friendship or a work alliance. Coming on the heels of the Temperance card I am more inclined to think about the relationship you have with yourself.
How is your relationship with yourself? Do you speak to yourself with compassion? The greatest relationship any of us have in this world is with ourselves, and we all know that we can be our own worst critic. Allow the energy of this card to give you permission to embrace all of you with love, compassion and kindness to build a loving relationship and emotional balance within your own energy.
Card 2 - Accept - 6. The Lovers
OO la-la more embracing. ;0)
Again this is a card which speaks of the promise or potential for love and romance.
But, again, this is also a card which could be guiding you to look inside for your perfect partner. If you allow that harmony and respect into your psyche, to see yourself as complete, all within one soul, then maybe, there are no spaces looking to be filled with external validation and love. All that you need is within you, and all you have is love, to give out from a strong position. Accept that this is possible, believe it, and see if anything shifts, internally or externally.
Card 3 - Let Go or Release - 3 - The Empress
The Empress: a strong, capable woman, who instils confidence in others. A nurturing, considerate person, who represents empathy, security and creation.
What then are we to let go of? Those qualities are things that surely we would like to keep hold of. I feel we are being asked to assess the situation we are in - are you trying to rush something? The Empress is asking you to stop, and slow down, you may be missing things by rushing. Let go of that urgency, and ask yourself - is there something that seems to be taking a long time? Are you ok with waiting for it?
Summary
So to sum up this month’s cards - I don’t think I have ever had all three cards be from the Major Arcana when doing these readings, it is very unusual for me.
So, Embrace patience, whilst asking yourself if you are being true to yourself, or if you are being influenced by others. Also, embrace kindness and love towards yourself.
Accept that you can be complete and loved, just as you are, without the need for external validation, and Let Go of the need for haste. Allow yourself to slow down, and to sit patiently while you observe the passing of time.
As ever these are just my ramblings and are not set in stone, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you in a different way, go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from Spirit and the angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.
