Hello Dear Friend,
How are you doing today? The year is turning, and November is here. The season of weather changes, misty mornings, frosts, cosy evenings by the fire, hopefully with a nice mug of something warming and a loved one nearby. Here we seem to be living through almost biblical storms and rain with another storm front just about to hit the island. I hope wherever you are, you are safe and warm.
It is the time of the month for the group tarot reading, I will, as usual, be using the *Llewellyn Tarot Deck.
Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…
This month’s spread
I have used the usual three-card spread, with slightly different questions this month - Stop doing/Start doing/Continue Doing. As ever take what you feel is aimed at you, disregard anything that doesn’t fit, and above all, if the card speaks to you in a different way, then go with that.
The Cards
Card 1 - Stop doing
On the face of it, this is a very bleak card. It reminds us of all the trauma, the heartache, and troubles we have had during our life. That is the purpose of this card, to encourage us to acknowledge these things and recognize the pain they caused. But it also asks you to share the experiences, maybe with a person, maybe in your journal, but in a way which will help you to heal from the trauma.
Like the Japanese practice of mending broken pottery with golden lacquer, restoring the object to its former glory. Like the pottery, which does not hide its previous trauma, we are invited not to hide our injuries but to allow them to been seen.
This card asks us to process the pain we have been through, to recognise how it has changed us, and then to lay them aside. To stop dwelling in the pain, and to take time to heal and process all the emotions from our history.
Card 2 - Start Doing
The Fool - this card is full of a joyous energy, it is the beginning of the adventure, we are full of hope and excitement. You have everything you need for the journey, and you’re off!
It represents faith, optimism, hope, risks, beginnings, it speaks to dreams that could seem beyond you. But are they? The Fool invites you to start dreaming, start living, start having adventures, start taking a few risks - you never know where it will end. Where you will end up? Start, if you never try, you will never realise what ever it is you yearn for.
Card 3 - Continue Doing
Ah, the Ten of Cups, such a happy card, full of security, love, family or community, represented by the happy couple, the children playing and of course to top it all off, a rainbow ending at the home.
So, in relation to Continue Doing - ask yourself what are you proud of? What brings joy and happiness to your life? Can you do more of this? Maybe take a moment to reflect on your life, on what you have, where you are. Don’t compare your life to others, take some time to be grateful, and reflect on what you would like to achieve more of.
Summary
So to sum up this month’s cards -
Stop Doing - Stop dwelling on the painful past, take time to heal and move forwards.
Start Doing - Start saying yes to new adventures and opportunites, take a leap of faith, you never know where you will end up.
Continue doing - Continue to build on your joy and happiness, count your blessings, and enjoy your life.
As ever these are just my ramblings and are not set in stone, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you in a different way, go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from Spirit and the angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.
I will be back on Sunday with my usual letter to you dear friend, until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
