Monthly Tarot Reading

How are you? Well, I hope. It’s time for the monthly community Tarot reading. The Monthly Tarot reading will now come out in a separate email on the last day of the month. Just in time for all you organised folks like to plan for the coming month. I always want to do that, but somehow it always feels a bit seat of the pants… ;0)

Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…

This month’s spread

The Cards

I have used the Llewellyn Tarot deck for this, it is a wonderful deck full of Celtic myths and legends, although a little hard to find if you wanted a deck of your own.

Card 1 - Two of Cups - Embrace

This card shows a couple embracing, each clasping a golden cup, surrounded by blossom and watched over by a mythical beast.
To me, this card signifies a union, maybe a new job, a new relationship or just a joining of some sort, which will be fruitful, a match of equals.
The book says this card signifies emotional bonds and entwining energies, sharing stability in the give and take, which could relate to romance, friendship or an alliance.

Card 2 - Ace of Wands - Accept

This card depicts a hand reaching from the clouds, clasping a bough with new leafy growth, it is being held towards the distant horizon with hills and a castle.

To me, this card always signifies new challenges, new growth, possible adventures and/or opportunities.
The book says it represents inspiration, rising to a challenge and of having conviction and faith in your vision or path. Coupled with revelations and transcendent thoughts leading to fruitful plans and far-reaching ideas.

Card 3 - Five of Wands - Let Go

This card depicts five men grasping long wooden wands, all at odds with each other, with the wands all at different angles, there seems to be a discarded parchment on the floor beside them - plans or a map maybe?

To me, this card represents disharmony, fighting, struggle, competition and confusion.
The book says it represents competition, erratic behaviour, confusion, inconsistent effort and maybe a breakdown of communication. Perhaps indicating the need to re-evaluate the situation, organise and start afresh.

Summary

So overall a positive reading for August.

Card 1 - Embrace any new unions which come your way, whether it’s a personal or professional one, it looks as if it will be an equal partnership with a lot of good energy.

Card 2 - Accept new challenges or opportunities for growth, hold true to the vision or path you wish to follow and all looks set fair.

Card 3 - Let Go of any struggle, disharmony or confusion which is around you at the moment. Try to gain a different perspective on the situation so you can re-evaluate and start afresh with renewed, focused energy.

As ever these are just my ramblings and are not set in stone, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you in a different way, go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from spirit and the angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.
