Hello Dear Friend,
How are you? Well, I hope. It’s time for the monthly community Tarot reading. From the feedback received after last week’s letter, the Monthly Tarot reading will now come out in a separate email on the last day of the month. Just in time for all you organised folks who like to plan the coming month. I always want to do that, but somehow it always feels a bit seat of the pants… ;0)
Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…
This month’s spread
The Cards
Nine of Cups
My instinct when viewing this card for the first time was not the traditional meaning of the card. Sometimes that happens. With the question ‘what do I need to stop doing?’ in mind my reading was to stop building barriers and being closed off and unapproachable. The traditional meaning of this card is that you are living in the moment, and enjoying your hard-earned indulgences. So what do I feel this card represents here? I feel it is saying to start being sensible and knuckle down for the next part of your life journey.
Judgement
Now to modern eyes, I know, this card looks like someone is calling out the zombie apocalypse. But anyone who has knowledge of the Christian faith will know that it is the faithful being called to heaven by the angel Gabriel.
To me, this card signified that the time has come to resurrect buried dreams and hopes. Now is the day, now is the time. The traditional meaning is to make peace with yourself, to stop revisiting old hurts, regrets and mistakes. The world is full of wonder and now is the time to answer the call of your soul.
Queen of Pentacles
I love this card, the queen looks so content, at peace not only with the world but also with her authority and power. She represents harmony and contentment, and acceptance of the power of the physical world on the body and mind. So with the question of ‘what do I continue to do?’, I feel the answer is to continue nurturing yourself. Take care of your needs and comforts, take joy in beautiful artwork, and maybe even create one… Enjoy the slow moments in your life to the full, a scented candle, a bath or even just a good cuppa, all are great for soothing your soul and energy.
Summary
Well, in conclusion, this is a spread which encompasses much. It seems to suggest we stop living in the moment… Hmm. Really I think it is guiding us towards being sensible (I know it’s boring) and to start preparing for the opportunities to come. We need to start laying the ghosts of some of our past hurts and regrets so we can move forwards with an awareness of the possibilities in this life. However, in order to be ready for these new, or resurgent dreams and wishes we must not forget to care for ourselves. Both mind and body.
As ever these are just my ramblings and are not set in stone, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you in a different way, go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from spirit and the angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.
I will be back on Sunday with my usual letter to you dear friend, until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,
Tracy
