Hello Dear Friend,
How are you? Well, I hope. It’s time for the monthly community Tarot reading. Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…
This month’s spread
I have chosen my usual questions for this reading -
What do we need to embrace?
What do we need to Accept?
What do we need to Let Go?
Let’s see what the cards have in store for us this month…
The Cards
Card 1 - Embrace - Ace of Cups
What a lovely card to start with, it says that you have a lot to give to the world, with a deep reservoir, a bottomless cup as depicted on the card which overflows with energy. Are you ready to start a new project? Or a new relationship? Help out with a cause? Whatever it is that calls to you, whatever it is that feels like a good fit, ask yourself what does your heart want or need right now, and where do you want to channel your energy and potential.
Card 2 - Accept - Ten of Wands
This card always makes me feel tired, I’m sure you can see why. The figure is carrying such a heavy load, and he looks like he has been carrying it for a long time, and worst of all, there is still a way to go. But I can also see the hope in this card - all of the wands are sprouting new growth, and it looks as if his journey is nearly at an end - home is in sight. With the theme of Acceptance, this card could mean that you have been doing a little too much, or maybe, your plate has been too full, does that ring any bells? Perhaps now is the time to reassess where your energy has been focussed, can you release some of those tasks? Could they be done by someone else? Do you need to take a break, to rest, and recover your strength a little before reaching ‘home’? Be honest with yourself here, it is easy sometimes to keep saying yes, but do you really need to be doing all the things yourself…
Card 3 - Let Go - The Star
This is on the face of it either a tranquil or melancholy card, a young lady sits by a pool in the darkness, looking up at the stars above. It represents renewal and possibly endings. It asks us to hold on to hope, but not in a rose-tinted glasses kind of way laying aside all we have been through. In fact, this card asks us to acknowledge all the trauma, the difficulties, and the wounds we have suffered, and still look to hope. It asks us to let go of those things, to find peace in ourselves, and strength. Because we have the strength within us to find the peace and healing we need, to be able to continue.
The deck I have used is the *Llewellyn Tarot Deck which is based on the myths, legends, and culture of Medieval Wales.
NB - As ever these are just my ramblings and are not set in stone, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you in a different way, go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from Spirit and the Angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.

Just one more thing - 28 days of Joyful Death Writing
Something a little different at the end of this missive, a lovely lady called Kathryn Koromilas is once again hosting a Stoic practice event which starts on Saturday 6th May. If you are the least bit curious I would urge you to take a look.
Kathryn says:
Death-contemplation is an ancient practice that helps us approach death, and life!, realistically and courageously. On a day-to-day practical level, contemplating your imminent death can radically alter what you pay attention to, what you choose to do.
It can help you de-clutter your mind, your physical environment, your relationships with people, work, and the environment. This way you can create a life with happy purpose in the present moment.
This death contemplation and writing challenge will guide you through 28 days of gentle, mindful meditation and writing on death.
Along the way, you will experience the liberating and clarifying joy that comes with getting more comfortable with the idea of transcience.
By the end of 28 days, you will be radically transformed.
I will be taking part, will I see you there?
I will be back on Sunday with my usual letter to you dear friend, until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,
Tracy
