Hello Dear Friend,
Another week has passed by. Happy Easter to all who celebrate, may this time bring blessings to you. This week the themes brought to my attention were ones of love, acceptance and perseverance.
Last time I mentioned a couple of books that were new to me. Reading through the beginning of Meditation by Patrick J. Harbula I was once again reminded that just trying to do something is half the battle. Being kind to yourself, allowing the journey to take as long as it takes.
As they say Rome was not built in a day.
Or as a wise woman I know once said:
The Power of Love
A couple of weeks ago an email landed in my inbox from Ariel’s Corner. They are sent from Ariel Gatoga and I usually find them interesting and enlightening, the topics range from general wellbeing and meditation to magic and spell-work. The topic of this email was about the Power of Love.
Love is peace
There is no tension in love. Love is the easing of all tension and burden. Wherever true Love is present, all tension, strife, worry and fear dissolve like an ice cube in the sunlight.
I love that description, it is so evocative. I can just picture all my cares and worries melting away and evaporating in the sunshine. If you are interested click on the underlined title above or there is a link at the bottom of the page.
One Power
As I was reading through the Meditation book the following verse from a song was quoted. I believe that despite the differences between us all, at the heart of us all we believe in the power of love, and guidance from a higher source which wants nothing but the best for us. There is a link to the song below, although I want to mention that towards the end he goes a little John Travolta - think Summer Nights, high pitched… It just made me smile all the more, I hope you smile too.
Call it God, call it Spirit,
Call it Jesus, call it Lord,
Call it Buddha, Ba’ha’ulla,
Angels Wings or Heaven’s Door,
But whatever name you give it,
It’s all One Power, can’t you see?
It’s the power of the love in you in meDaniel Nahmod, One Power
May you find light and love in your world this week. Despite the awfulness in the world at the moment, if you look for love and light, you will find it.
Usually it is in the small things, the chattering of birds, pets being silly or the touch of a loved one. I will persevere with my meditations, and try not to be distracted too much. ;0)
Until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,
Tracy
