I am Thankful

for all of it

Hello Dear Friend,

This Sunday has caught me unawares. I’m not sure why, but this week my days have been all of a muddle. As a result, this letter is going to be very ‘off the cuff’.

During this past week, I have been working through a mini course with the wonderful Ruth Poundwhite. It was all about how to show up as your authentic self. Not doing all the social media stuff because you want to make a quick buck, but because you care about people and how they are doing and feeling.

So today, I just want to say how thankful I am you are here, and to ask how you are doing.

I am Thankful…

For everything.

For all the good times.

For all the darkness and crap I have been through.

For you, reading this letter, and being with me on this journey.

Because without all of that, I would not be the person I am today.

As I write this, the crows are flying around outside my window against a fabulous blue sky, sun illuminating the fields and the vehicles on the Downs Road. Brief flashes of brightness moving against the horizon.

I wonder where they are going, what lives they are leading, sending them love and blessings for their day.

And I send them to you too, dear friend. Wherever you find yourself, I send you love, blessings and thanks for being there.

For being you.

Never forget that…

You are wonderful.

You are capable.

You are loved.

Never forget. No matter what life throws at you, you are a special person with a story worthy of the telling. One day when this crazy world settles down, if it ever does, I would love to meet you, have a coffee and a chat, to hear your story.

Until then, I will keep writing to you every week, sharing my world and thoughts, hoping it brightens your day.

Things catching my eye this week:

A few things have caught my eye this week, a podcast interview Yvette Fielding had with Diana Cooper, all about Guardian Angels*. I do like listening to Diana Cooper, and will probably listen to it again later this week.

Also the Thought for the Day* on BBC Radio 4, which discussed the topic of allowing strangers into our homes. Very pertinent as we were considering offering a spare room for the Homes For Ukraine* scheme.
