Hello Dear Friend,
How are you doing today? Pinch, punch first day of the month, I wonder where that saying came from… I digress. February, a time for love, for new beginnings, for the first shoots of spring showing, I wonder what the cards have in store for us this time?
As usual I will be using the *Llewellyn Tarot Deck.
Are you ready? Then I will dive right in…
This month’s spread
I have used the usual three-card spread, Embrace/Accept/Release or Let Go. It seems to work for most of you, as ever take what you feel is aimed at you. Disregard anything that doesn’t fit, and above all, if the card speaks to you in a different way, then go with that.
The Cards
Card 1 - Embrace - Knight of Wands
Doesn’t he look handsome, dashing off on an adventure or maybe a quest?
Wands are traditionally the card representing Spring, ideas, actions, growth, and inspiration.
The Knight is asking us to tap into and embrace our passions, heed the call to adventure, moving forwards with the energy that he brings.
Beware though, the Knights energy can be a little too much, remember to stay in control and don’t let his exuberance overtake you, too much.
Card 2 - Accept - Two of Wands
Accept, accept what?
Accept that you have intuition, your gut instinct if you will, trust it.
Do you have decisions facing you at the moment?
Assess your capabilities, and any obstacles which may be in your path.
But, accept ultimately that whatever decision you make, whichever path you choose, remember that other paths will remain untrod.
Which path are you going to choose?
Take a deep breath, listen to your intuition and your heart, and take the leap, accepting that that is your way forward.
Card 3 - Let Go or Release - Eight of Pentacles
The Eight of Pentacles, hard working, dilligent, productive, constantly learning, all of these things are aspects of the Eight of Pentacles. Pentacles as a suit is a reflection of what you value in life - money, material things, or maybe homelife and stable foundations. The person depicted in the card is just making pentacles, one after the other, after the other, and on it goes.
Strange then to find this card in the ‘Let Go / Release ‘ position…
Perhaps it is telling you that your hard work has paid off, that you are in a position to put your learning to the test, let go, and just ‘do’ things. Not procrastinating by taking on more learning or more tasks. We have all done this, once I have done X or Y course, then my credentials will be good enough…
Or, maybe it is telling you to let go of the feeling of boredom. All that study, that repetitive making things, going to work, getting things done, only to come in the next day to a pile of work almost identical to the one you just cleared. All that grind, feeling like you are stuck in a hamster wheel, just existing. Let go of any resentments you may feel, release any negative feelings you may be harbouring. Try to find a sense of satisfaction in your work, release the frustrations and embrace the knowledge that this is the groundwork you need to do in order to move forwards.
Summary
So to sum up this month’s cards -
Embrace - The call to adventure and be mindful of the inspirations surrounding you.
Accept - That you have a strong intuition, backed by your knowledge, take the leap, and trust yourself.
Let Go - Whichever way you choose on this one, either let go of the frustration of your current situation and trust that you are where you are meant to be, or let go of the procrastination tactics of just another course, just one more and I will be ready, I will have enough knowledge to do the thing I yearn to do.
As ever these are just my ramblings and are not set in stone, take what you need from the reading and use it. If the cards resonate with you in a different way, go with it. Your heart and soul know what is best for you. Follow the nudges and messages from Spirit and the angels, remember, the more you pay attention, the more you will see.
I will be back on Sunday with my usual letter to you dear friend, until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
