Attention
Where is mine going?
Hello, Dear Friend,
Thank you so much to all who commented on last week’s missive. 🙏🏻
It's lovely to be back, although I'm now left with a conundrum. What do I talk about this week? I had a few ideas during the week, and foolishly, I forgot to write them down. I guess I’m out of the habit. Note to self: I must take more notice of what’s popping up during the week.
Take More Notice
Maybe that is the message for this week.
I need to pay attention.
Not on a ‘skim the email quick, that might be interesting, move on’ kind of way. But to take the time to read, digest, and absorb the items which have caught my eye.
Life can pass us by if we do not pay attention. All the little moments which can bring joy and laughter to our lives can be lost, happening away from our main focus.
Like last night.
I caught a couple of very plump, very pleased pigeons helping themselves to our blueberries last night. I knew the sparrows had been eating them, but not the pigeons. They must do some fancy flight work to nibble the berries off the bushes, as the stems are not strong enough to hold their weight. 😁
If I had been wrapped up in the madness that is prep for a craft fair, and not looked up at the moment the pigeon flew off the bush onto the fence, the moment would not have entered my consciousness. I would have missed out on the smiles last night and the smile the memory evokes this morning.
So now I will take the time to pay attention to the world around me. I am lucky enough to live in a rural location with fields on either side of our home. Whichever window I look out of, I can see fields, birds, sometimes sheep, and sometimes, Belted Galloway Cows on the downs. They look like humbugs moving around the fields.
So, my dear friend, my question to you is this: Is there some way you could pay more attention? Find some time to watch the birds or the wildlife? Or spend more time with your family - playing games, walking on the hills/beach, or maybe just having a meal together and talking about your day?
I would love for you to share your thoughts and observations. Let me know in the comments, or drop me a note. I wish you well. I will write again next week.
Until next time, as ever, may your angels and guides watch over you and protect you until we meet again.
Love and Light,

Until next time, bye for now.

I needed this today, Tracy. I’ve been racing around and now I’m going to take 3 breaths and slow down. I’m off for a chatty lunch with friends. Thanks for the much-needed reminder.
How true, Tracy. I had friends staying last week and he had been Head of Birds at a zoo. They talked about the different birds and the birdsong in the garden and I had hardly noticed it in the six years we've lived here, certainly not to differentiate between them. Note to self - look and listen!
