Hello Dear Friend,

How are you? I hope you are well and that life is smiling upon you right now. If it isn’t, and we all have times like that, know that I am here if you want to reach out. Life with me is pretty much the same, I am still battling the pain in my knees, trying to balance it with pain relief, but it is an ongoing fight. The weather seems to be behaving itself for the moment. I apologise if that puts the kybosh on it; but it seems to have stopped raining here, at least the torrential downpours we have been having this winter seem to have ceased. Spring seems to be coming in, flowers are appearing, catkins on the trees and lambs and calves in the fields. The field behind our house is playing host to a herd of cows with their young calves. It is such fun watching them leaping about and running all over the place. When one starts to run, they all seem to want to join in. It really lifts my spirits to watch them.

Angels in Furry Overcoats

Last Sunday in the UK we celebrated Mothering Sunday. As both our mums are no longer with us and we only have four-legged children, it is a bit of a non-day for us. But it got me thinking about those of us whose children are the furry kind, and how they affect our lives, both whilst they are with us and after they are gone.

I have felt the presence of cats who have passed, felt their energy coming towards me, felt their touch as they brush against my legs, and have seen them in the corner of my eye as they pass through the room.
Have you ever felt or witnessed such things after your pets have passed? The house we are in now had a dog attached to it when we moved in. He had lived in the property before us and it felt as though he was coming to check out the new folks, to see what we were all about. I haven’t felt him in the house for a while now, so I guess he is happy we are here and is off watching over his humans.

I found an article that expressed the opinion that angels sometimes incarnate or inhabit animals for a while to help someone through a bad patch. The article quoted Dr Agnes Julia Thomas, who is an animal telepathic communicator. She has written a book called Pets Tell the Truth: A Mystical Journey into the Animal Mind, but I cannot find any other information about her. Her view is that angels can incarnate as animals for a short while, with either the animal’s soul ‘stepping out’ for a while, or with the animal having a very short life. Hmmm, I am not sure how I feel about that. I think that the angels have other jobs to do, but feel that they may influence our pets and their behaviour, or how they arrive in our lives.

Another part of her belief is that animals’ souls can reincarnate into other pets, this one I can believe in. How often is it that an animal reminds you of a previous pet, maybe a way of holding its head, or a habit, or a special place to settle down. This almost lends itself to the theory of Soul Groups, which is probably a topic for another day. ‘Soul Groups’ is the theory that a core group of souls travel through time together, reincarnating together, or close by, so that they connect during the person’s lifetime. Maybe just a few, maybe a whole family/friend group, there have been some fascinating past life regression studies done which corroborate this theory. I will do some investigating and see if I can find the studies, it is fascinating.
